Manuals, Handbooks, and Policies
Lack of or improperly written handbooks can end up hurting a business. They should be reviewed on a regular basis for compliance with new or changed laws. For business lacking a handbook, we can work with the owner and managers to design one specific to the company, not a “one size fits all”. In reviewing handbooks, we can determine if any changes need to be made, evaluate workplace drug and alcohol testing programs, and safety policies and practices. If needed, we can design, implement and train staff in a compliant workplace drug and alcohol free program and compliant safety program.

Advertising
When you need people, there are ways to advertise this. Through your friends and family, your employees' friends and family, social media, job boards, newspapers, radio, television, and many other means. With pricing ranging from free to expensive, some of these methods will work for you while some won't. We can help you identify the best source for you to find qualified people and place your advertising to get you the most.
Pre-Employment Screening
Once you get a pool of candidates, picking the right one for the job and your company can be difficult and confusing. We can help you manage the process, make sure it is legally compliant, and select the person, or people, who meets your needs. Everything from the initial application, resume review, managing the interview process, and extending the offer of employment are all services we offer to ensure your success.
New Hire Selection
Hiring a candidate represents a leap of faith that you are hiring a quality person who will meet your expectations and not expose you and your business to unnecessary risks. We can help take out some of the uncertainty by performing employment verification with previous employers, reference checks, driving and criminal record checks, and, if the position qualifies, credit checks. It is all part of setting up a legally compliant process that will screen out those who are not who they represent themselves to be.
Managing Employment Agencies
Some businesses function best with temporary employees provided by agencies that specialize in on-demand employees. Although we do not provide this service, it is not uncommon that your agency may not be providing you with consistent, quality employees. We can work with these agencies on your behalf to increase the agency's contributions to your success.
Human resource information system (hris)
Choosing and setting up a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) either initially, migrating to a new one, or adding additional features to your current one can be difficult with the scope of work and the array of options. We have experience with this and can help manage the installment, configuration, any integration with accounting, payroll, or other systems, data migration and training employees on how to use it. Additionally, we can administer and maintain the HRIS system.
Business Development
Once a company gets running and everything starts to come together, some owners begin to wonder what they need to do next to reach the next level. We can help with this by training, coaching, and mentoring key employees and reviewing and auditing company resources and policies and strategies to maximize efficiency. Production and efficiency can often be increased by correcting dysfunctions or poor functions in a company environment that might not have been recognized or noticed by management. Additionally, we can do HR Audits to review practices and policies keeping an eye for legal compliance and insurance claims.
Benefits
Navigating benefits for employees can seem like a daunting task: vendor selection, designing health/dental/life/supplemental insurance options, pensions, 401(k), IRA, profit sharing plans, as well as time off work for vacation, sick leave, personal time, bereavement, and holiday. These are all things we can help you to set up or handle for you. We can also act as your first point of contact for any employee questions regarding employer provided benefits.
Training
Training an employee to perform their responsibilities is not a one time thing. Ongoing training and education is required to keep a workplace safe and compliant. The types of training can vary between types of workplaces, but most would need sexual and other types of harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence. Not only can we help to set up a training program, we can also train employees at all levels in a variety of areas such as better management skills, work skills, productivity, profitability and anything else desired. The training can be extended to creating safety plans and providing manuals or supporting materials.
